Personal message from Patricia. Here are a few tips to make your video a dynamic promotional and marketing asset:
SETTING THE ENVIRONMENT AND TONE
Videos are conducted using Zoom to make the experience convenient with no travel.
If you prefer on-site filming, please request a proposal that will include set-up and travel time and expenses. I am available to attend your event to provide videos for your attendees.
You choose the location. You and I will co-create an environment that sets a warm, relaxed, and congenial tone. A positive, optimistic, and inspiring tone and conversation is key to a video that will attract thousands of views which is our mutual goal. When you subscribe below, you will receive instructions and illustrations to help you arrange your “set”.
Make-up. The camera loves “drama”. Take this opportunity to be dramatic with your make-up, especially eyes, brows, and lipstick.
Clothing. Be as bright and colourful as your like. However, the camera does not like busy patterns, plaids, and stripes.
If we film on-site, you will be wearing a small clip-on mic. Consider ease of camouflage. Necklaces and jangling bracelets can interfere with sound quality.
Tell our audience about your business. Share your USP if you like. However, your video will be so much more. Follow-up interview questions will be asked to add substance. Depending on your chosen topic, you will receive some questions prior to our interview to help you prepare. For example, but not limited to, the following:
“What has been the greatest influence in growing your business?”
“What brings you joy as a woman entrepreneur?”
“What’s your BIG WHY (for being an entrepreneur, for working after sixty, or for returning to work after cancer)?
“What’s next?” or “What’s your next big project?”
“What would you tell your younger self*?
*All videos include an element of compassion toward our younger self. Your favourite photo as a young girl will be a great “B-roll” on your video but is not a requirement.
GETTING THE WORD OUT
Your website and social media links will be added to the video to cross-promote your business, your work. You are responsible for providing the links that you would like to include.
